The paint and body work on the TC Motorsport's project 2007 Shelby GT500
The last step of the TC Motorsports GT500 was to improve upon the exterior of the car. The stock hood was replaced by a 1968-style hood from The Race Car Factory that features functional ram air and heat vents that remove hot air from inside the engine bay. It also looks much more aggressive than stock. The next improvement was in the paint department. The vinyl stripes were the removed, replaced by fully painted stripes. The side stripes were also removed and painted in, with a glossy clear coat covering the entire car. Even the flat black mirrors were painted to match the car. For even more of a custom look, the underside of the previously mentioned hood was painted blue with white stripes to match the car. As a final touch, Steeda billet hood struts were added to hold up the new hood.
