Welcome to Muscle Car News! I prefer the Griots product line; http://www.griotsgarage.com/home.do although I know folks that really like what Meguire's has to offer.
After a good washing, I use paint cleaning clay on the whole car. (I probably should polish the paint too, but I never have. Too lazy I guess. ) After claying, I apply a good wax and buff to a shine. Keeping the dust off is the hardest part. My brother-in-law uses Griot's "Speed Shine" almost religiously. It keeps a fresh waxed shine on for a long time.
